In everything we do for God, excellence matters. The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” This verse is a beautiful reminder that our service in ministry—whether on the platform or behind the scenes—is ultimately for Him.

Excellence in ministry isn’t about trying to be perfect; it’s about giving God our very best. When we prepare, plan, and serve with care and commitment, we’re showing that His work is worthy of our full effort. Every detail, no matter how small, can become an act of worship when done with the right heart.

God Himself models excellence. From the beauty of creation to the precision of His plans, everything He does reflects purpose and care. As His people, we are called to mirror that same spirit of excellence—not for applause, but so that others may see His glory in how we serve.

When people see excellence in how we serve, they see the love and character of God reflected in our actions. It builds trust, encourages others, and creates an atmosphere where lives can be touched and changed.

I am encouraged by the heart of MBC and the desire for us to always give our best. Let’s continue to serve with joy, purpose, and excellence—because everything we do for the Lord deserves our best.
