Over the last 10 years of my life, I have had the blessed opportunities to lead/take part in more than 35 mission trips spanning across the globe. Every single one of those trips have had a significant impact on my life. Not only have they changed my perception of reality and the world outside of East Tennessee and the Bible Belt, but they have also helped me grow in my relationship with Christ.
As that relationship with Christ has grown, He has shown me a greater call in my life first in my call to be a Pastor and second in my call to be a Mobilizer. Summer 2023 as I sat on the balcony of an AirBnb in Barcelona, Spain looking over La Sagrada Familia having just finished my 2nd cup of coffee and the 10th chapter of Romans I was in that moment made aware of God’s call in my life to mobilize missionaries for His work.
And since that moment I have been actively and prayerfully seeking opportunities to help Coordinate, Train, and Lead teams to the mission field. And I am grateful that my heart for missions has landed here at MBC where it is not only welcomed with open arms but has also been encouraged to continue that work.
After meeting with the Missions Committee recently we began discussion of undertaking a missional opportunity to send a team from Meridian Baptist Church to Tegucigalpa, Honduras and with great excitement we are pressing forward with this plan. In January 2026 we will send a team of people to do what is called a Vision Trip to Honduras to see if and what to that the Lord may be calling MBC to partner with in the country of Honduras.
